Created under our NQA-1 Quality Assurance program, customers can be confident that our intermodal containers meet the regulations necessary for shipping and disposal. Our specialty containers offer a variety of structural enhancement options – depending on the materials being handled (solid waste, liquids, and grout type applications).

As the manufacturer of Department of Transportation-certified stock and custom hazardous material shipping containers, you can buy direct from us. We supply both IP-1 90 and 45 cubic ft. boxes through our “quick ship” program with reduced pricing for truckload orders. 

We can enhance and add special features during manufacture.

Our specialty containers offer a variety of structural enhancement options depending on the type materials that will be handled. This includes solid waste, liquids and grout type applications. 

We have created and built over 200 IP-1 and 7A Type “A” DOT certified designs for hazardous material handling containers for the nuclear power and power generation industry. Used for decommissioning materials, power plant maintenance outages, and for the shipment of custom-sized equipment, our containers range in size from 2’ x 2’ x 2’ up to 10’ Wide x 14’ Tall x 40’ Long  steel shipping packages.

Certified, Experienced Staff

Our staff includes three Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and has over 23 years of experience in design, fabrication, and container testing. Our welders and welding processes comply with the requirements of AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.3 and ASME Section IX. Our Quality Assurance Program is ASME NQA-l compliant.

Our modern, well-managed manufacturing facility enables us to meet very short delivery schedules. All of MSDF’s DOT shipping containers are high quality and comply with 49 CFR 173.
